I have been unable to get TinyPad to automatically start up when windows starts.
I have tried this on 4 different Windows XP computers and one Vista.
The preference setting is checked.
I can probably add it to the windows startup folder manually, but thought there may be something else I should be doing?

Hi Ed,

TinyPad is set to start with windows by default (of course you can modify this from the preferences window).
It has been tested on all windows platforms including the following:

  • Windows XP
  • Windows XP x64
  • Windows Vista
  • Windows Vista x64
  • Windows 7
  • Windows 7 x64

It seems there's something going wrong on your side, we will contact you very shortly with instructions to check what's really going on.

When I installed TinyPad I did not install it to the default folder. I choose "C:\Tiny_Pad\".
The actual TinyPad.exe file ended up in "C:\Tiny_Pad\Tiny Pad\" folder.
I have administrative permissions on all machines.

I don't know if would make a difference.

Ed

Hi Ed,

just for the record, the installation path does not matter.
Following our email conversation, let's note down the following:

When you first launch TinyPad, the "launch on windows startup" box is checked by default, but that doesn't have any effect until you press the "Save" button. It's a small bug and will be fixed in the next version.

To summarize, if you want TinyPad to start with windows, simply open the preferences window and click "save" (no need to modify any of the settings).

Thanks for the heads up
